Meet Linle Kanjawutso

Linle Kanjawutso

Member of the KANG’OMA YOUTH GROUP, Kang’oma, Malawi

Linle, age 15, lives in the rural village of Kang’oma. Linle’s parents are members of a F2F cooperative garden for HIV+ households, where they’ve learned that keeping Linle in school is better for the family in the long run. Still, it’s unclear how long Linle can continue, due to the distance and expense.

In the Youth Group, Linle learns about topics like HIV and sustainable farming — and then how to pass that learning on to others. In the process, she’s taking responsibility for improving life in her village.

How You Can Help

F2F relies solely on your generous support to ensure that our projects are successful. Here are three ways that your support can make a big difference.

1Adopt a Project and Know Who You’re Helping
F2F offers a variety of funding projects that have been carefully selected. We encourage community, sports, school, church and other groups to adopt a project, as well as individuals, families, and circles of friends.

Here’s how simple it is to adopt a project:

  1. Review our projects and pick a project that fits your interest and budget.
  2. Contact us about a specific project or call us at 917-208-0456 with your selection.

Because F2F believes that people like to know how their donation is being spent, we make sure that you know the individual people who are being helped, and how your donation is improving their lives. After you adopt a project, you’ll be updated with project reports.

2Bring F2F to your School or Organization
Photo Mosaics at Saint John's UniversityBy combining individual compassion and the power of acting collectively, any group can significantly change the lives of impoverished people and their communities.   As a catalyst for starting a conversation on HIV and global poverty, many high school, college, church, and civic groups have hosted the AIDS PhotoMosaics and even casual groups of friends have used the exhibit to help raise funds to build schools and fund orphan food programs. 12′ high by 12′ wide, these towering artworks consist of black-and-white portraits of HIV-infected or affected people command attention and have proven to be the ideal starting point from which a variety of educational and fundraising programs can be built around — programs that could include lecture series, presentations, and group fundraising.

3Donate Your Laptops, Cameras and Airline Miles
We welcome donations of laptops, cameras, and audio and video equipment, which are extremely useful to people working on our Cambodia and Malawi funding projects. We also seek donations of airline miles, which help cover one of our biggest budgetary expenses.
