3 Great New Ways to Make a Difference

1 GIRLS GIVING GRANTS: The Power of Girls to Change the World
A magically simple way for girls to learn how to become young philanthropists, here’s the answer to teens who ask, “How could I possibly make a difference”?

By combining individual compassion with the collective power of acting as a group, you can discover what it’s like to significantly change the lives of people who suffer from disease and extreme poverty.

The concept is simple: each girl in a group contributes $100. In December 2010, the group decides where the grant should go, and the Face-to-Face AIDS Project delivers the grant in early 2011. Follow-up reports and updates are sent back to the group so they know exactly how they’ve made a difference.

2 WOMEN GIVING GRANTS: The Power of Women to Change the World
Ordinary women have the power to make an extraordinary impact on the lives of thousands of people suffering from disease and extreme poverty. Here’s a simple way for you to answer the question, “How can I make a true and meaningful difference”?

By combining individual compassion and the collective power of a group, you and your colleagues can tap into the joy of deciding how to significantly change the lives of impoverished people and their communities.

The concept is simple: each woman in a group contributes $500. The group decides where the grant should go, and the Face-to-Face AIDS Project delivers the grant in early 2011. We send follow-up reports and updates so you know exactly how you’ve made a difference.

3 GIVING YOUR GIFT: A Simple Act That Can Change the World
Through the simple act of asking someone to donate $100 instead of buying you a holiday gift, your kindness will be combined with others to make one large grant that will significantly improve the lives of impoverished people and their communities.

The concept is simple. This holiday season, go to the link below and send the announcement to friends or relatives who’d otherwise get you a gift. Tell them that instead of buying you a gift, you’d like to “Give Your Gift.” Your friend or relative completes the form, includes a check for $100, and mails both check and form to us no later than Monday, December 27, 2010.

We combine all $100 “Giving Your Gift” donations and make one, larger grant that has a big impact. In early 2011, we inform you what grant was made, and how this has improved people’s lives.

Please click on the link and pass it on. You will be exchanging a gift for one that has meaning to you and to many others.
